//Josh Keyes-Stations of altered landscapes (hybrids of modern living and nature)

Josh Keyes paintings capture the viewer not only because of his evident technical skills, but also because of his moderns hybrids of contemporary outdoors merged with nature and wildlife. His paintings consist of "stations' that feature odd combinations of things that form part of outdoor city life that are interrupted by the interference of out of context animals. The altered landscapes of Keyes' paintings come accross as floating stations that convey a sense of absence of society, yet feature buildings , security cameras, monuments, post boxes and other things that connote to daily life. His work has an originality due to the forming of new combinations of modernity and progress intervened by nature.
