//CITY SLICKERS. I've been mad busy lately.It seems though that despite how occupied I am, I always find more and more things to fill my schedule with. One of these new "projects" is CITY SLICKERS.City Slickers is an illustration/design exhibition I am currently curating. The exhibition, as the title gives away, is based on the theme "city".The exhibition is a group show that will feature some South African as well as some international illustrators. The works will finally be exhibited in Pretoria and Durban.The first show will be held in Pretoria, at the gallery/design café +27 on the 13th of August! Despite awesome art, the two great bands "a skyline on fire" and "vampire 9000" will be performing. I'll be updating the blog with info on the event, such as some sneak previews of submitted works etc., so please keep visiting! Here's the flyer for the Pretoria exhibition!

//ERIK jOHANSSON
YES, he is a swede, a citizen of the alpha breed, the utopian society.Erik is a 23 year old guy who happens to be pretty skilled at photography and more skilled at photo editing.His work features light humour achieved by messing with the possibilities of reality, which he manages to corrupt with his flawless editing, which makes the end product look hyper real. Where as some of his work is a little too forced according to my taste, some of it is also quite brilliant.
You can check out more of his work here.

//BANKSY.
First off, I must apologize (if anyone's is reading that is), that I haven't made any posts for about a month!Mostly, I had been pretty busy making art or doing other study stuff, but when I did have a gap and tried to make a post blogger seemed to fail me by taking decades to load. So let's hope it doesn't fail me again!I guess if you're reading this it hasn't.
I'm sure most people are familiar with Banksy, the street artists work. I came across a flyer to promote his new work the other day. I find it genius as it definitely takes an innovative approach to street art , and is certainly loaded with humour.Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. I am sure now the British will be more law adhering in bagging up their dogs two-sies, in order to keep that "street art" off the street. Nice one Banksy!

//DO YOU HAVE THE TIME.
I don't really like wristwatches much.Nowadays everyone has a cellphone at hand anyways, which not only tells the time but offers many other gadgets, so I suppose it is valid to say that wristwatches have become sort of redundant, right?
Well, apparently not.Nooka would even give someone like me enough reason to wear a watch. These wristwatches come in the freshest colour and also feature the most beautiful contemporary design.Nooka watches would not only serve the purpose of telling time and showing off little, but actually can be regarded as purely serving the purpose of looking awesome. The only problem with these absolutely innovative watches is that might the occasion arise where a passer by asks for the time, it might be pretty easy for him/her to figure out how bright you are as it might take you a minute or two to respond.
Thus, the question posed is : efficiency / cool?
In this case I'd probably choose cool.

//WELOVEPICTURES.
My friends make awesome photos. Not only do their pictures prove this passion, but their "name" also blatantly confesses their passion for photography.They work as a collective titled "welovepictures", and take all kinds of photos, ranging from weddings, to bands to me dressing up 'n playing indian in a field. I thought I'd share some of their pics here, with the aim of making you head over to their blog!

//THAT'S WHY I LIKE...
I had a new idea for a feature. I realized that I have many images in my picture database, that I collect for unknown reasons, or sometimes obvious reasons.That's why I like...is a bit of a cheesy new feature which allows me to share whatever I want, for whatever random reason.
SO here's the first one...
I like Lego because...

...it's a "medium" which promises the outcome to be awesome, simply by being made of Lego!
Enough said!
